Harkness See her website : http://www.myspace.com/letsdancelady  | Cynthia D Harkness started ballroom dancing in 1993 at Bruce Heffron's Sunday Night Ballroom under the instruction of Don Gato and Gail Marie Gardner of The Dance Place Studios. Don and Gail Marie are Certified Dance Masters and have been teaching for over 25 years. After 5 years of ballroom ths instruction in rhythm and smooth styles, she started lessons in both East Coast and West Coast Swing with The Syracuse Swing Dance Society and Lynn Miller of Dance Dance Dance of Syracuse. In 1999 she started taking Country and Western line and couples dancing with the Salt City Country Two Steppers and Country Lace and Spurs. | In 2001 Cynthia started Lets Dance Productions dance network, a dance promotion company that sponsors dance events and works with local instructors who want to promote their styles of dance. She has been teaching ballroom and country dancing locally at the United Singles, CNY Singles, Parents Without Partners (PWP) , and currently with Big D Productions dances. In 2004 she formed The Lets Dance Productions Dance Formation Team, a community service group, that encourages beginner to intermediate level dancers to share their love of dance with others in the community. The team performs dance demos and team formation dances choreographed and taught by Cynthia Harkness at local community fairs and dance events. In August 2007, Cynthia move to Rome NY and in 2009 to New York's southern tier. She will continue to teach dance both in Rome and in Syracuse NY Cynthia's greatest accomplishment is seeing her dance students perform at dance events. She loves to watch them interact with each other. She finds great joy in her student's success in accomplishing his or her own dancing skills. Cynthia's goal is to develop the dance team project into a showcase dance troop that performs for friends, family, and the community. The Knights of Columbus, E. Taft Road, is being sold and dances will only be held until the end of February 2009. The Knights of Columbus is being sold. Dances can be held there only through the end of February 2009 TGIF Saturday Addition Starting on January 10, 2009 CNY Singles will be hosting a dance on the second Saturday on each month. Same place and format. In January they on are the 10 and 31. Dance lover dances are on the second Friday. Ballroom and Behond discontinued its Saturday night dances effective Novermber 22, 2008. All for the Love of Dance hosts on the first and third Saturdays at this venue. Watch this space for news where the dances will be held after February 2009.
